is a woman owned, LGBTQ friendly tattoo shop located in the heart of East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Artists specialize in original art, custom and traditional tattoos. Additional services include tooth gems and tarot card readings. Subversive Tattoo is an anti-racist space.

Marz Mikeo is the owner of Subversive Tattoo and has been tattooing professionally in NYC for over 12 years. She specializes in fine line, realistic, traditional, and original artwork tattooing. Marz also works closely with clients to bring their own designs to tattoo-able reality.

Calley Nelson (they/she) is a trauma-informed Tarot reader of 15 years, offering readings Thursday nights by appointment at Subversive Tattoo. Calley received their Master of Arts in Psychology and Spirituality from Columbia University where they studied the spiritual implications of trauma. Their even clients include HBO, Teachable, Gucci, and Refinery29 and they have written for the Mystic Mondays Tarot app. Appointments are $175/hour and are available most Thursdays between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
